My name is Josef Rezek and I am the Director of In2IceHockey, an International Pee-Wee Ice Hockey Tournament.
In2IceHockey is a group of two volunteers, me and Matthew Wegener. Born in Czech Republic but living in Australia I began playing ice hockey at the age of 3. I played in Czech Republic Men’s Top League, as well in the National Team for U17, U18, and U20 and am now playing for Adelaide Adrenaline in the AIHL.
When I am not playing, I also help coach the South Australian Junior Development Program for Pee-Wee and Bantams and I was the 2013/14 Head Coach for Adelaide Adrenaline who compete in the AWIHL (women’s league) and Assistant Coach for the U20 Australian National team.
Matt, born in Australia, began playing ice hockey at the age of 13. Representing State and National teams, he moved to Canada during his final year of high school to play Midget AAA in Alberta. Having just completed a Bachelor of Business and International Studies at Flinders University, Matt has the knowledge and skills needed to manage a team well, plan for the future, and connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Matt loves coaching for In2IceHockey and being able to help grow and develop ice hockey in Australia.
The week long tournament will be held in Adelaide for its second year at the beginning of November and will bring teams from all over Australia and New Zealand together to play in the International Pee-Wee Tournament. Last year we had six teams and this year we are hoping to have ten as In2IceHockey is the only International Tournament held in Australia for children under 13.
The team at In2IceHockey see this tournament as a great way to give Pee-Wee aged hockey players exposure in playing against some of the best National and International teams there are to offer and believe this could further the development of your team and players.
On behalf of the team at In2IceHockey I would like to invite a club/clubs from your town or country to play in the tournament held in Adelaide from Wednesday, November 5 to Sunday, November 9.
We have been offered great rates for accommodation through our sponsors, Breakfree and Mantra which are both conveniently located in the city, close to public transport and walking distance to the Ice Arena.
If your team decides to come to Adelaide a few days before the tournament, I am more than happy to organise some friendly games and help book local tourist activities.
We would love to see your team here in Adelaide for In2IceHockeys second International Pee-Wee Ice Hockey Tournament.
Hello,
Will you be holding any Ice Hockey Camps this year?
Regards,
Jonathan
